Aurora Cannabis Inc., a prominent Canadian leader in global medical cannabis, has introduced its Whistler Cannabis Co. brand to the Australian market. Known as one of Canada's pioneering cannabis labels, Whistler brings premium, indoor-grown craft cannabis to patients Down Under, delivering an authentic Canadian cultivation tradition.

"We've built Whistler into a dependable name in Canada," stated Andre Jerome, Aurora's executive vice president of global business development. "Bringing it to Australia allows us to share our expertise and dedication to patients worldwide, marking a key step in our international strategy."

Launched in 2013, Whistler Cannabis Co. is grown at Aurora Alpine, a cutting-edge facility nestled in British Columbia's Pemberton Valley. The brand emphasizes small-batch production with exclusive genetics, harvesting plants at optimal maturity for unwavering quality. Flowers undergo hang-drying, hand-trimming, and a meticulous slow-cure process to protect trichomes rich in cannabinoids, terpenes, and aromatic compounds.

The initial Whistler offerings available in Australia include two standout cultivars:

Ginger Breath, an Indica with 32% THC in 10g packs, derives from '91 Royale and Driftwood Diesel genetics. Its dominant terpenes—Caryophyllene, Pinene, and Linalool—create a layered scent of spicy ginger, gasoline, chai, and citrus.

Critical Diesel, a Sativa at 28% THC in 10g packs, blends Critical Sensi Star and Driftwood Diesel lineages. Featuring Caryophyllene, Pinene, and Myrcene, it offers a vibrant fruity aroma blending cherry, grape, strawberry, vanilla, and subtle gasoline notes.

Aurora's dominance in Canadian and overseas medical cannabis stems from deep regulatory knowledge, technological investments, efficient distribution networks, and a science-driven ethos. Compliance with EU and TGA GMP standards underpins the company's ability to thrive in regulated international environments.
